Rather than point me to the location of this information, Toontrack admins thought it better to move my post to their "Superior Support" area, which didn't help me at all. So I post a request for where this information that was not included with the update could be found, and I posted it in Toontrack's "Requests and Feedback" area. It offers no choice to do a custom install at all.
What was included was a Read Me file that says: "We recommend that you choose Custom install and make sure you specify the correct path to install the VST.", which doesn't even match the install executable. I noticed that there was no documentation at all describing what had been fixed or added included in the update. After downloading the most recent update for Superior 2.0, that I had hoped would add this missing functionality that is included with BFD2 that allows you to match the software to your hardware, instead of the other way around. Once the download is complete click the install button to install the library.If you are looking for condescending responses from the folks you buy your software from, look no farther! Toontrack is the most Superior in this category. This download will take considerably longer to complete as the library is nearly 19 gigs. This is found directly below Superior Drummer 2 in the Product manager. The product manager will then take you through the steps of downloading installing, authorizing and updating your Superior Drummer 2 software. You can scroll through the list or use the “Not Installed” filter on the left. Find Superior Drummer 2.0 in your list of products.You can skip this step if you have already registered or if Superior was automatically registered to your account after purchasing directly from. Register your serial number for Superior Drummer by clicking the register product button and entering your serial number.
Open the Product manager application on your computer and Login if its the first time using this application.Its found by logging into your account and clicking My Account > My products.
